Globe offers BlackBerry Bold 9900 for free under Plan 3799

Globe just posted a limited offer for the BlackBerry Bold 9900 on their website. Starting today until October 7 you can pre-order it and the phone comes for “free” under Plan 3799 with Unlisurf combo. The BlackBerry Bold 9900 was recently launched in the Philippines and the prepaid kit should cost Php31,690. Before jumping into this deal though make sure your monthly consumption is enough to justify the Php3,799 monthly subscription fee. That’s a 24-month (2 year contract) that you won’t be able to get out of easily.

You can also get the BlackBerry Bold 9900 for just Php6,300 under Plan 2499. That makes more sense for me. Click here to go to the Globe microsite so you can already sign-up online and reserve. :)

The BlackBerry Curve 9300 doesn’t pack the power of the BlackBerry Bold 9700 but it’s a great entry level phone for people who want to get a feel of the BlackBerry experience. Globe is making it a whole lot easier for people to get into the BlackBerry craze with their latest promo. You can actually get a BlackBerry Curve 9300 for free under their P999 plan. The catch? The lock-up period which is usually 2 years will be extended to 3.

If you want to keep it to 24-months lock-up then you can shell out an additional P1600 cash. This promo will only last until February 15, 2011. Continue reading →

Globe BlackBerry Torch 9800 free with P3799 Postpaid Plan

I’ve been trying to find Globe’s official pricing on the BlackBerry Torch 9800 for their postpaid plans online. I found a promo page as well as the actual unit listed in the postpaid phone selection menu. The BlackBerry Torch 9800 comes “free” with the P3799 plan. You can opt to get Unlimited Surfing as your freebie if you go for the My Fully Loaded Plan. Screenshots below:

Best BlackBerry Bold 9700 and Curve 8520 Prices in the Philippines

Sun Cellular recently released their pricing scheme for their BlackBerry handsets. Before we go into postpaid kit comparisons, I wanted to check which supplier offered the most affordable standalone package. I checked Sun, Globe, Smart, and another online store to compare their prices and the data is very interesting. The gray market online store is still the most affordable offering the Bold 9700 at just P22,000 and the Curve 8520 at P12,500.
