RIM has <3

The Philippines was ravaged by Typhoon Sendong leaving more than 1,000 dead. Relief operations are on-going and we’ve seen a lot of private individuals and companies pitch in. I’m happy to let everyone know that Research In Motion (RIM) also helped out by donating Php1,000,000 and 30 BlackBerry Smartphones to the Philippine Red Cross.

Thank you RIM and we’re hoping that you guys come back with a vengeance in 2012-2013!

RIM announces BlackBerry Tag (NFC)

BlackBerry TAG coming soon

As most of you know the BlackBerry Bold 9900 has Near Field Communications technology (NFC) enabled. There are only a few accessories though that can interact with this so it’s not really a huge deal yet. RIM is trying to capitalize on this though with the announcement of BLACKBERRY TAG. You can basically “tap” or “bump” your phones to exchange contact information and transfer files. Cool! Continue reading

Phil Younghusband for BlackBerry Messenger

Azkals’ Phil Younghusband is BlackBerry’s endorser for this Philippines. If you check the official BlackBerry YouTube channel you’ll see a video of him talking about how BlackBerry Messenger is so important for him. See below for the video. :)

It’s good to see that Research In Motion looks at Philippines as an important market. Maybe they should launch a concept store here.

RIM Lauches Official BlackBerry Pilipinas Facebook Page

Just got exciting news from RIM’s PR Agency here in the Philippines. They finally decided to launch their official Facebook Page here in the Philippines and they’re calling it BlackBerry Pilipinas. The page is supposed to deliver the latest news, updates, and events to everyone in the BlackBerry Filipino community. I already liked their page, hope you guys do so too!
