RIM responds to Apple’s press conference on Smartphone signal loss

Apple recently had a press conference to address the iPhone 4′s signal loss problem. This issue has been hounding Apple since the phone’s release. BlackBerry 6 Platform a “Quantum Leap”?

I’ll think you’ll just be amazed that how it’s a quantum leap over anything that’s out there.

RIM 1st Quarter Results

BlackBerry Smartphones are quickly gaining popularity here in the Philippines. This is mainly because of the aggressive marketing push of Globe (and prior to them, Smart). The plans are actually affordable compared to the iPhone postpaid plans. The push email feature combined with the “executive” brand of the BlackBerry also makes it the ideal phone for a lot of Filipino professionals.

Research In Motion (RIM), the company behind BlackBerry, recently released their Q1 results and it looks like the data supports this theory. Half of total sales of the BlackBerry was sold in the last 18 months alone which means that it’s quickly gaining a steady following all over the world. Read the full report after the break.
